House Update: Craft Room

I'm a little spoiled ... When we lived in our apt, and I wanted to sew, I would get out all my stuff and the living room/kitchen became some sort of war zone.... Result: when looking for a house, Zac looked for a craft room for me... I'm a lucky girl.
This house has one room in the basement (that's finished) it just so happens to be the 2nd largest room in the house... and I claimed it :)
It's been a long time in coming. For a while it smelled funny. Then I got pregnant and it REALLY smelled funny. Then we painted it and I was pregnant and I really couldn't stand the smell.. Then I had Bennett and I didn't have time to organize... FINALLY I just took everything out of that room (I mean EVERYTHING) sorted it in piles in my family room and took a whole week putting it back together one piece at a time... Here's the order of events

The Starting Block: everything just got shoved in here... and every once in a while I would dig through it to find what I needed for a certain project (annoying)


The empty closet. I never got a picture of everything that was shoved in there... it was amazing the clutter..


Painting the room... I borrowed the idea from THIS Site. And we got the cabinets FREE off KSL and hung them in the corner... sometimes I don't know if I love them or not


The disaster zone. I still can't believe Zac let me leave it like this for as long as I did... He's a good man. I would sit and go through stuff and watch Bones - I devoured ALL six seasons in just about six weeks - eek


The finished product and my new Sanctuary! Smell gone. Lighting fixed (love Ikea). Painted. Organized and Zoned... Everything has a place and is, wait for it, LABELED!
